Test
In order to optimise quality, durability, and functionality, Nissens carries out a number of tests in our own test centre. We make thermal tests which reveal the cooling capacity of a specific product or system, and material tests which aim to ensure that a given material complies with the demands placed upon it. This may be demands regarding tensile strength or corrosion resistance.
The picture shows a seawater (fog) test, aiming at determining the corrosion properties of the radiator. By choosing the correct aluminium alloys and combinations, the resistance of the radiator may be improved and the service life prolonged.
Since radiators are frequently exposed to physical stress, tests are carried out to reveal how the radiator reacts to vibrations, pressure, or very high temperatures. For instance, oil coolers and condensers may be exposed to pressures up to 40 bar and temperatures up to 250°C.
All test procedures are thoroughly documented, and all tests are carried out by highly skilled employees, and this ensures that our customers will always receive products and solutions complying with the specified standards.
