A heat exchanger is a component designed to transfer heat from one medium to another; e.g. two liquids. The heat exchange unit is constructed in such a way which means that the liquids are never in direct contact with each other; however, heat is transferred trough the division between the liquids. A heat exchanger is a highly efficient way of transferring heat.
